Cindy Ardito has 24 years of professional experience in the areas of groundwater quality and water resource evaluations, environmental site characterization, and site remediation. Ms. Ardito has worked on ground water quality and groundwater resource issues in New Mexico since 1984. She has provided expert witness and technical support for several litigation projects involving water resources evaluations and a natural resource damage assessment. She has designed and implemented field programs for aquifer testing, shallow and deep monitoring well installation, soil and groundwater sampling, and vapor extraction/air sparging. Her work has included managing and conducting site investigations for water resource evaluations, brownfields and hazardous waste sites, underground storage tank (UST) and Superfund sites, and remediation programs. One of Ms. Ardito's specialties is the development of remedial investigation and remediation strategies for sites contaminated by volatile organic contaminants. She is coauthor of a milestone paper on expedited cleanup of leaking UST sites using combined vapor extraction/air sparging systems. Ms. Ardito has also developed regulatory compliance strategies and compliance monitoring programs for all types of impacted sites ranging from operational mining complexes to Superfund sites.
