512-425-2000 dlongsine@intera.com PhD, Mathematics, Colorado State University, 1979 MS, Mathematics, Colorado State University, 1975 BS, Mathematics, Colorado State University, 1970 Dennis Longsine is a mathematician specializing in numerical analysis. He has experience in all phases of computer modeling, from conceptualizing the physical problem to formulating a mathematical model and solution techniques, programming the solution, documenting the software for use by others, and using the software for project-specific work. He has applied this experience in the areas of groundwater flow and contaminant transport, surface pathways, corrosion modeling, reliability analysis, statistical analysis, and optimization. Applications include problems in radioactive waste disposal, well test interpretation, injection well permitting, remediation plan evaluation, economic feasibility, environmental liability, equipment reliability, database management, and risk analysis. Dr. Longsine has authored or coauthored several journal articles and technical reports relating to these applications, including the documentation and maintenance for an integrated surface water/groundwater model.
