Get a one-one-one lesson from INTERA’s CEO and other upper management staff on the history of INTERA, what consultants do, what our clients want, and how we make our money – all while building relationships with staff from other offices

Mentorship

Entry-level to mid-level staff will be assigned a mentor to help them navigate their first few months at INTERA

Career Coaching

INTERA has departed from the traditional performance evaluation in favor of Career Coaching. We believe that Coaching is a more proactive use of our time and energy by looking forward at the employee’s plans for growth, instead of back at their performance. The manager becomes a team member with their employee instead of an evaluator.

Technical Advancement Communities (TACs)

Meet monthly with other junior, senior, and principal technical staff members to fill in the gaps in training through mentorships, seminars, industry short courses, and presentations. We have 8 different TACs for you to join, from Environment Field Work, Geochemistry, Groundwater Modeling, and more.

Tuition Reimbursement

Job- or business-related courses and degree programs may be eligible for tuition reimbursement to help you advance your education and skills.

When Culture Clicks

INTERA was featured alongside major corporations like Goodwill, Indeed, and Netflix in The Culture Book Volume One: When Culture Clicks. The Culture Book is a practical guide and playbook for companies and organizations to be genuine, intentional, and strategic with their culture. INTERA recognizes the vital role that culture plays in the satisfaction of our employees and the longevity of their careers with us. We have worked over the years to grow, maintain, and protect our culture of trust, open communication, and stewardship.

Better Together

INTERA has implemented several events and programs to keep our staff feeling connected and cared for. We have adopted regular Town Hall Meetings to keep communication transparent and consistent. Mindful Minute is an employee-created and employee-led program that allows us to exchange our ideas and solutions on topics like stress management, coping with anxiety, and empathetic communication. Lastly, we DINE (Discover differences, Include one another, Navigate new perspectives, Eat)! The goal of DINE is to create welcoming and inclusive spaces for people to share about themselves and their life experiences over a meal. This virtual program has been a wonderful way to connect INTERA staff from across the country and around the world.
