Dr. Larry Lake, a Principal Engineer with INTERA Petroleum Consultants (an INTERA subsidiary), will be teaching two short courses in association with the upcoming Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Annual Technical Conference & Exhibition being held in Dallas, Texas from September 24-26, 2018.TCE. Prior to the conference, Dr. Lake will give a two-day training course on Sept. 22nd and 23rd discussing Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) Fundamentals. The course will explore the basics of waterflooding and EOR through fundamental principles of reservoir engineering. For more details on this course, please visit: https://www.spe.org/training/courses/ERF.php The second course, being held on September 27th, will focus on using field-scale reservoir characterization to evaluate heterogeneity and well-to-well communication. Topics will include static and dynamic properties such as standard measures of heterogeneity (e.g., the Dykstra-Parson coefficient), single- and multiphase fluid properties, as well as newer methods to analyze inter-well communication.
