INTERA is pleased to announce that Matt Uliana, PhD, has been promoted to Managing Director of INTERA Geosciences Pty Ltd., where he will lead our impressive team of scientists in delivering environmental and water resources services from our Perth, Australia office.
With over 30 years of experience as a Principal Hydrogeologist, Matt brings a wealth of expertise in groundwater flow and geochemical modeling, aquifer testing and analysis, reservoir mechanics for injection well feasibility, water availability studies, and groundwater-surface water interactions. His extensive background also includes surface-water hydrology, groundwater contamination assessments, regulatory compliance, and expert witness testimony. Matt’s leadership and technical excellence have been instrumental in advancing key INTERA projects involving hydrogeologic assessments, geochemistry, and modeling.
Beyond his consulting work, Matt is a respected contributor to groundwater research, with numerous peer-reviewed publications and over seven years of university-level teaching and research experience. INTERA is confident that his commitment to advancing water resources science and applying innovative solutions will further strengthen INTERA’s impact in Australia and beyond.
