The GW-Project is a non-profit organization committed to creating and making available online free high-quality groundwater educational material for all. The Groundwater Project is led by Dr. John Cherry, recipient of the 2020 Stockholm Water Prize, and a friend and mentor to many of INTERA’s founders and leaders.
Groundwater makes up 99% of all fresh water, and the global water crisis is a pressing issue for all of earth’s inhabitants. The GW-Project is addressing this issue by providing free access to essential groundwater knowledge to people all over the world.
As a Founding 50 Member, we are committed to supporting the GW-Project's mission of providing accessible, engaging, high-quality, educational materials, free of charge online in many languages, to all who want to learn about groundwater and understand how it relates to and sustains ecological systems and humanity.
