INTERA was recently awarded a 2-year contract with the City of Austin's Public Works Department to provide environmental engineering and consulting services for Capital Improvement Program (CIP) projects. Anticipated work assignments will involve: environmental assessments; petroleum storage tank issues; storm water pollution prevention plans; spill response and spill prevention and countermeasures plans; site remediation; landfills and recycling; indoor and outdoor air quality monitoring; soil, surface water, and groundwater monitoring; hazardous and non-hazardous waste analysis, transport, and disposal; Edwards Aquifer assessments; National Environmental Policy Act cultural and natural resource investigations; health and safety assessments; and environmental permit requirements. This new contract complements INTERA's ongoing work in providing environmental services for Austin Energy and serving as the environmental commissioning consultant for the City of Austin's new Water Treatment Plant #4.
