INTERA’s Dr. John Sigda, Principal Hydrogeologist, Dr. Eduardo De Sousa, Principal Groundwater Modeler, and Dr. Jeremy White, Principal Hydrogeologist, will be presenting at the 2022 Australasian Groundwater Conference (AGC2022) held November 21 – 23, 2022 at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre. Dr. Sigda will give a presentation entitled, “Evapotranspiration vs. Pumping Control of Groundwater in a Reclaimed Legacy Mine Pit under Uncertainty”, on Day 1 (Nov. 21) during the Mining Remediation and Closure session at 4:15 PM – 4:30 PM. He will also give a presentation, co-authored by Dr. Guillermo Martinez, entitled, “Computationally Efficient Hypothesis Testing Using an Iterative Ensemble Smoother and Reproducible Workflows”, on Day 3 (Nov. 23) during the Numerical Modelling in Mining Applications 2 session at11:30 AM - 11:45 AM.

Dr. De Sousa’s presentation, entitled, “Reconstruction of Baseline Groundwater Levels and Mapping of Groundwater Response Patterns Using Cluster Analysis and the Backwards Water Table Fluctuation Method - An Example from Southwestern Australia”, will take place on Day 3 (Nov. 23) during the Water Levels Investigations 2 at 12:00 PM - 12:15 PM.

In coincidence with the conference, Dr. White will be co-facilitating a pre-conference workshop, entitled, “Workshop 2 – Methods and Perspectives for Uncertainty Quantification”, on Sunday, November 20 at 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM, held at The University of Western Australia.

INTERA’s Dr. Marsh Lavenue, CEO, Dr. Matt Uliana, Principal Hydrogeologist, Dr. Rui Hugman, Groundwater Modeler, and Johanna Zwinger, Environmental Engineer, will also be in attendance at the conference. Additionally, INTERA will be an exhibitor at the AGC2022 event.
