INTERA’s Dr. Rui Hugman, Senior Groundwater Modeler, will present at the PDAC 2025 Convention, taking place March 2–5 in Toronto, Canada. He wil speak during the session “Quantifying Water Risks: Implications for Investments, Sustainable Mine Water Management, and Social Responsibility,” to be held Tuesday, March 4, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m ET. This panel will be chaired by INTERA’s Patrick Williamson, MSc, QP, PG, Principal Hydrogeochemist, and Angela Persico, Director of Mining Services.
The panel will bring together experts from the mining, investment, and research communities to discuss the financial and social impacts of water-related risks in development projects. Through case studies, advanced modeling techniques, and collaborative research, panelists will explore strategies for effectively managing, mitigating, and communicating water risks in the mining industry.
