INTERA is pleased to announce that Dr. Alison Adams is being promoted to Chief Technology Officer (CTO). This is a role she held at Tampa Bay Water (TBW), one of the largest water utilities in the State of Florida. As TBW’s CTO, Alison pioneered Tampa Bay Water’s transformation to resiliency through the development and execution of a data driven Decision Support System which aligned TBW’s Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) functions under one organization. She will do the same at INTERA, specifically with our IT and OT Knowledge Assets (scripts used for process models, workflows, programming training, and Information Analytics (IA) tools and best practices, etc). Dr. Adam’s first focus will be to initiate a baseline assessment of our IT and OT status and then to develop a strategic IT/OT plan. The theme herein is digital transformation of INTERA’s knowledge and intellectual property (IP). The ultimate goal is to catalog, standardize, quality assure and curate our best practices for workflows ranging from database design, data analysis, well test interpretation, visualization, programming, modeling workflow for process models, performance assessment (PA) tools, coastal hydrodynamic modeling, and bridge hydraulic reports, etc. INTERA’s CEO and President, Marsh Lavenue stated, “This effort will enhance the value of both our Knowledge Assets and INTERA as a whole and provide a corporate wide platform for IA to support each Line of Business at INTERA. It also will greatly enhance our ability to efficiently train new staff and will make us more efficient overall.”
