Bringing expertise in every aspect of water resource and supply planning to enable informed water management decisions
While balancing water demands and supplies seems relatively straightforward, uncertainties and vulnerabilities in water supplies associated with issues such as climate change can add significant complexity to the equation. INTERA helps water providers develop the tools and solutions needed to establish and sustain cost-effective supply systems that can adapt to changing conditions. We do this by collaborating with you and other key stakeholders to first develop a sound understanding of water demands and existing supply systems. This is followed by applying an uncertainty-analysis-based approach to develop a diverse and robust portfolio of water supply options that can meet projected demands, while considering the uncertainty in future conditions. Examples of our relevant services are listed below.
- demand/supply forecasting
- decision support and reliability analysis
- climate change impacts
- environmental flows (minimum flows and levels)
- integrated water supply planning and strategy development
