Emilio Núñez co-founded CR Petroleum Optimization Technologies and served as the company’s President and CEO from 2010 until it was acquired by INTERA in May 2016. In addition to his role with INTERA Petroleum Consultants, he serves as the Assistant Director of Research Relations for the Cockrell School of Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. His experience also includes serving for 15 years as the Manager-Optimization Systems for Shell Development Company in Houston, Texas. Among other executive positions, Emilio was Vice President of Optimization Technology at Simulation Sciences, Inc., where he championed the ROMeo process optimizer, developed jointly under his direction by Shell and Simulation Sciences.
