During the COVID-19 pandemic, many non-profits in our communities are facing financial challenges paired with an exponential need of resources. At INTERA, we feel the importance of helping to support these groups and organizations that do so much in our local communities, especially during these difficult times. To help support those around us, INTERA has chosen to provide monetary contributions to the organizations listed below that were selected by our employees: Safe Harbor Support Center focuses on supporting vulnerable children and their families, particularly those that are healing from trauma, abuse, and neglect. Safe Harbor also owns and operates a shelter for homeless teenagers in the Tri-Cities area called My Friends’ Place. Donations are helping them keep their services open and running, as well as assisting in the procurement of essential goods and food for children and families in need. To donate, please visit:https://www.safeharborsupportcenter.org/ Meals on Wheels of Central Texas, whose volunteers, despite the pandemic, have been delivering up to two weeks’ worth of nutritious meals to homebound seniors. Meals on Wheels Central Texas distributes 3,000 meals each business day to homebound older adults and people with disabilities. Routinely, these reservations experience great food scarcity with limited running water and electricity, and now there are not enough hospitals or beds to serve the several thousand cases of COVID-19 in the communities. Donations are being used to provide food, water and sanitation supplies to their most vulnerable, as well as provide home-sewn masks for medical personnel and first responders. To donate, please visit: https://www.navajohopisolidarity.org/ Roadrunner Food Bank is the largest food distributor in New Mexico, supplying food to hundreds of other smaller organizations throughout New Mexico including soup kitchens, shelters, and schools. To donate, please visit: https://www.rrfb.org/   In the coming months, INTERA will continue to do our part and identify more groups and communities who are in need of our support. Please consider providing relief to any of our recipients or other organizations that are still facing incredible challenges during this unprecedented time. Thank you.
