INTERA is very excited to announce the addition of Tyler Hatch, PhD, as a Principal Engineer and the Director of Technical Services in California. Dr. Hatch brings more than a decade of experience in water resources engineering and hydrogeology.

Prior to joining INTERA, Dr. Hatch spent nearly eight years at the California Department of Water Resources (DWR), where he led the Modeling and Tools Support Section of the Sustainable Groundwater Management (SGMA) Office. His contributions were instrumental in the development of the Fine-Grid California Central Valley Groundwater Surface Water Simulation Model (C2VSimFG), climate change datasets and tools, and subsidence evaluations. Dr. Hatch's expertise in managing technical teams and his involvement in key projects have significantly contributed to the advancements made by the State of California under the SGMA initiative.

Dr. Abhishek Singh, PE, President of Water Resources and Supply at INTERA, expressed his excitement about Dr. Hatch joining the team, stating, "It has been inspirational to watch the technological, modeling, and data advances the State of California has made after the passage of SGMA, and Tyler and his team were a huge part of this accomplishment. We are very fortunate that Tyler has joined INTERA and will be helping us grow and deepen our technical and modeling capabilities in California."

Dr. Hatch holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and a Master's Degree and Doctorate in Water Resources Engineering/ Hydrogeology from the University of California, Davis. His professional experience also includes working at CH2MHill, the US Army Corps of Engineers, and serving as a post-doctoral researcher at UC Davis.

Tyler will be based out of Sacramento, where he joins a fast-growing team of INTERAns.
