Building resilience for a changing climate
Climate change is impacting people, assets, and systems in different ways. As the exact nature of climate and extreme weather threats continues to evolve, it is important to proactively identify new threats by conducting climate risk screenings and detailed vulnerability and risk assessments.
Consistent with INTERA’s water resources, coastal engineering, and environmental expertise, we help public and private sector organizations identify, measure, and respond to climate related risks, such as the impacts of drought on water supplies and the affects of rising sea levels on coastal infrastructure and resources. Our climate resilience services include:
- Water Planning and Decision Support
- Water Supply and Impact Analyses
- Flooding and Sea Level Rise
- Water and Air Quality
Once new and evolving climate threats are identified, tailored strategies to manage the risks can be developed. Climate risk management requires long-term vision and near-term actions that are modified over time. INTERA’s resilience strategies are designed to complement related efforts and be cost-effective and flexible.
