Rick Scadden Serves on PCB Peer Review Panel

Rick Scadden, a Principal Engineer at INTERA, recently participated on a polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) peer review panel for the EPA’s Office of Research and Development. Panel members provided review and comments on the draft report entitled Laboratory Study of Polychlorinated Biphenyl (PCB) Contamination and Mitigation of Buildings, Part 4, Evaluation of the Activated Metal Treatment System (AMTS) for On-site Destruction of PCBs. This report is one in a series documenting research by EPA to determine the sources and levels of PCBs in schools and to evaluate different strategies to reduce exposures. The results of the research will be used to provide further guidance to schools and building owners as they develop and implement long-term solutions.
