INTERA’s California Office Celebrates Five-Year Anniversary
INTERA is excited to announce the five–year anniversary of our California Office. Located off of California’s Pacific Coast Highway, INTERA’s Torrance office has been successfully providing water resources and environmental services to state, municipal, and private industry clients since 2015. “This is an important milestone for us,” said INTERA’s Vice President of California and Water, David Jordan, PE, DWRE. “It would not have been possible without the encouragement of our CEO & President, Marsh Lavenue, PhD and the amazing team we have in California, led by Abhishek Singh, PhD, PE”.

INTERA’s Raghu Suribhatla, PhD, PE, Senior Water Resources Engineer, and Abhishek Singh, PhD, PE, Principal Water Resources Engineer and Vice President of INTERA’s Western Region, will be presenting at the Groundwater Resources Association (GRA) of California’s Western Groundwater Congress Goes Virtual Hollywood, which will be held September 14-17, 2020. Dr. Suribhatla’s presentation entitled Evaluating Potential for Groundwater Recharge in Southern California Adjudicated Basins will be presented during Track 1 (Water Resources) – Recharge Modeling, on September 14 at 9:30 – 10:55 AM. Dr. Singh’s presentation entitled Diagnosing Water Well PFAS Issues Using Dynamic Profiling Technology will occur during Track 3 (Contaminants) – PFAS Treatment, on September 15 11:05 – 12:30 PM. In addition, INTERA’s Ali Forghani, PhD, PE, Groundwater Modeler, will be presenting a poster on INTERAPY, a novel MODFLOW data processor, in association with the conference. INTERA’s Wade Oliver was recently appointed to the Texas Water Conservation Association (TWCA) Board of Directors. Mr. Oliver, a licensed Professional Geoscientist, hydrogeologist, and manager of INTERA’s Houston Operations, was appointed to the President’s Panel by President-Elect Kathy Jones of Prairielands Groundwater Conservation District.
TWCA is a 501(c)(4) association of water professionals and organizations in the State of Texas. Members include engineers, hydrogeologists, attorneys, government administrators and others representing organizations such as river authorities, municipalities, navigation and flood control districts, drainage and irrigation districts, utility districts, and groundwater conservation districts.
